We also strive to support local businesses, promote sustainable travel and encourage respect for Nicaragua's culture and environment.

Abour our Team

Laura Huston

Laura is the developer and manager of San Juan del Sur Guide. Laura has travelled extensively in South and Central America and has lived in both Chile and Nicaragua. She has a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology and Spanish from U.C. Santa Barbara and is passionate about international travel and outdoor activities like surfing, snowboarding, running and moutain biking. Laura also does graphic design, website design and marketing.

Sandy Iverson

Sandy Iverson is a writer, artist, librarian, entrepreneur and mother who divides her time between Toronto and San Juan del Sur. Sandy is in charge of posting local news and weekly events on the San Juan del Sur Guide Blog. More information can be found on her website.
